< he has his hands on many components of this very important language. This is a tricky balancing act, respecting parts of what we like about Perl and retaining backwards compatibility, while at the same time making the core progressively more robust and feature rich. It is difficult to collect all his contributions to Perl but as part of his grant he has submitted three security releases in November and in December added `av_unshift_sv` into Perl's Core [PR #21731](https://github.com/Perl/perl5/pull/21731).
