## About Conference in the Cloud
In 2020 we’ll be hosting a special virtual conference. The 2020 Perl and Raku Conference, **Conference in the Cloud**, will use hashtag #TPRCiC, so if you see #TPRCiC around on social media, that’s our tag for conference.
At the **Conference in the Cloud**, you can expect to see a lot of presentations on Perl and Raku languages. Core presentation topics in the past have included Perl 5 and Perl 6 (now Raku) and organizers are hopeful to continue with a core of Perl and Raku talks moving forward. It is worth noting that this event is run by volunteers and talks are also given by volunteers. The presentations at the conference will be submitted during our Call For Presentations (CFP) and selected by organizers who volunteer to be on our talks-committee. Because hosting this conference online is a new experiment, we do not plan to have more than 2 tracks at any given time. The presentations (20-50 minutes long) on a variety of topics throughout each main event day.
We are still working on determining the correct tools to host the conference. Some of our priorities include: Interactivity during the presentations, support for Linux presenters and attendees, capacity for our audience, screen sharing capabilities, moderation, and a streaming/recording option so the session can be later viewed by people who could not watch the original session due to time zone.
## Be part of it all - Organizer spots open!
Planning for **Conference in the Cloud** is underway and we could always use more help! It’s not too late to join us in planning this event! We do the majority of our planning on TPF Slack. If you would like an invite, email admin@perlconference.us to volunteer. You can help frame the conference!
## Call for Talks
We have opened a new paper call to find speakers interested in speaking at this conference. Our first round of submissions ends April 10, 2020 12:00 UTC. This is to measure the level of interest people have in this event. Depending on the response, there will be a second round. You can submit a new talk now at https://www.papercall.io/tpc20cic.
## Re-submit your Talk from TPCiH!
We know many of you already planned to present at #TPCiH. Now that it is cancelled, you may have a presentation ready to go and nowhere to present it! Re-submitting your talk is as simple as logging in to PaperCall before you submit. There is an easy option to re-submit your talk from a previous conference.
