# Check out the schedule and check your timezone
We’ve got a lot of great talks lined up for the three day conference from June 24-26! The schedule is available on our [website](https://perlconference.us/tpc-2020-cloud/schedule/). Ensure the time zone that the schedule displays is relevant to you! On the right-hand side of the website a “Timezone” option is displayed. Here you can select your time zone and the schedule should update to reflect your preference.
As a reference, on Wednesday, June 24th, the [“Opening and Perl Keynote: Get better, not get by (Sawyer X)”](https://perlconference-us.zoom.us/j/91681230901) starts at 11:00am Eastern Daylight Time (EDT) which is equivalent to 15:00 UTC. The last presentation of the day, “Lightning Talks - Day 1” is at 5:30pm EDT or 21:30 UTC.
On Thursday, June 25th, the day kicks off with “Lightning Talks - Day 2” at 11:00am EDT or 15:00 UTC. The last presentation of Thursday is [“Keynote: A Simple Matter of Programming (Damian Conway)”](https://sched.co/cDdT) at 5:30pm EDT or 21:30 UTC.
Finally, on Friday, June 26th, the day begins with two concurrent presentations “Threaded Text Console UI in Raku” and “System Observability and Distributed Tracing” at 11:00am EDT or 15:00 UTC. Sessions on Friday end at 5:30pm EDT or 21:30 UTC with “Lightning Talks - Day 3”. Friday’s plenary session is [“Raku Keynote: RakuAST: a foundation for Raku macros” (Jonathan Worthington)](https://sched.co/cDe6) at 4:30pm EDT or 20:30 UTC.

# Give a Lightning Talk
Lightning Talks are short, 5 minute, talks that may be serious, funny, or both. They may be given by experienced speakers already giving full length talks or by first time speakers just starting out (this is a great way to get started if you have something to say). Adding the virtual component to lightning talks should add for some extra fun! If you are a first time speaker you will win a tie with an experienced speaker when the schedule is made, if it comes to it. Today’s first time speaker could be tomorrow’s keynote speaker! [Sign up here](https://forms.gle/bNHanketR4MjhhXh8).
# Get Your Ticket
Event tickets are available on eventbrite for $10. The $10.00 fee is inclusive of the entire 3-day event. This fee helps secure a safe event, and covers the minor costs of hosting it. [Sign up today](https://www.eventbrite.com/e/conference-in-the-cloud-a-perl-raku-conference-tickets-103163865900)!
If you would like to attend the live sessions, BOFs, hallway track, or other interactive events you’ll need to buy a ticket and register to attend. The $10 fee allows you to interact live with speakers and other attendees (during BOFs, panels, and Q&A).
You should still be able to enjoy speaker content if you won’t be able to pay the fee. We will be live-streaming the presentations to YouTube as well as working to publish content for on-demand access on [YouTube](https://www.youtube.com/yapcna) at some time after the event.
# Master class - Introduction to Go -- Sold Out
The virtual "Introduction to Go" master class on Saturday, June 27th is sold out (all proceeds from this class go to The Perl Foundation). Thanks for your support! Get more details about the “Introduction to Go” master class on our [schedule](https://perlconference.us/tpc-2020-cloud/schedule/).
# Order your conference gear
We designed a logo and we’re sharing it with the community! Order a shirt or other cloud conference items at [CafePress](https://www.cafepress.com/perlandrakuconference). We aren’t making any money (neither is TPF) on these products but we have designed a logo if you’d like to buy a momento!
# About the Conference in the Cloud
The 2020 Perl and Raku Conference in the Cloud will be on June 24-26. The first talk starts at 11:00am EDT or 3:00pm UTC and the last session of the day begins at 5:30pm EDT or 9:30pm UTC.
We’re using #TPRCiC and #cloudcon on social media to talk about our event.
At the Conference in the Cloud there will be Perl, Raku, and other related technology topics, just like you’ve seen at our in-person conferences. The Conference in the Cloud is organized and run by volunteers just like The Perl and Raku Conference. Presentations are also given by volunteers. The presentations at the conference were submitted during our Call For Presentations (CFP) and selected by organizers who volunteered to be on our talks-committee.
There will be 2 tracks at this event with presentations (20-50 minutes long) on a variety of technical topics throughout each day. The conference schedule is available on [The Perl and Raku Conference in the Cloud](https://perlconference.us/tpc-2020-cloud/) website.
Access to the interactive conference on Zoom will only be granted to people who register in advance, agree to the Code of Conduct, and pay a $10 registration fee for the whole conference. Presentations will be streamed live to [YouTube](https://www.youtube.com/yapcna) so those who can’t pay the fee or won’t use Zoom, can still access most conference content. [BOFs](https://github.com/perlconference/tpc-2020-cloud/wiki#bofs) will not be available on [YouTube](https://www.youtube.com/yapcna).
