brian d foy, well known in the Perl community and one of the authors of Learning Perl, has launched [a Kickstarter campaign](https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1422827986/learning-perl-6?ref=nav_search) to help fund the work to create an O'Reilly-published Learning Perl 6.
