I wholeheartedly support this proposal. Much of Rakudo's progress stems from Jonathan's hacking, and I'd like to see that continued.
I don't see a detailed explanation of D5, so let me at least stress that parametric roles are important for using STD.pm, the official Perl 6 grammar, because STD.pm implements DSLs (regexes, quotes etc.) with parametric roles.
Both dispatch semantics and OO are very important for other parts of the compiler (more so if we start to write parts of it in Perl 6 itself), so I guess that's a good topic to work on in general.
Good news! I think Jonathan really right candidate for this grant.
Jonathan thoroughly demonstrated his productivity with the Vienna.pm grant, and has been helpful to Rakudo newcomers. I enthusiastically recommend that this grant proposal be funded.
Indeed Jonathan let us understand, that he's really productive and ... creative - vienna showed this, i think, really showed.
So I entirely support this plan.

Thanks for Jonathan for his great work!
