The Grants Committee has concluded voting on the July 2020 round. Two grants were submitted, one of them was approved.
[Establishing Documentation Standards for the Perl 7 Era](https://news.perlfoundation.org/post/grant_proposal_documentation_standards_perl7) (3,000 USD)
**VOTING RESULTS: Approved. 8 YES Votes, 1 NO vote, 1 abstention**
There was a lot of excitement and support for this grant.
[Raku Ecosystem](https://news.perlfoundation.org/post/grant_proprosal_raku_ecosystem) (12,000 USD)
**VOTING RESULTS: Not Approved. 4 YES votes, 5 NO votes, 1 abstention**
Voting on this grant was close. There were several issues that were consistently raised with this grant request by the committee, including:
* Even after the addendum, the specs and the scope of this proposal are still somewhat unclear
* Too large a scope for a single grant request
* Would benefit from a discovery-style project or grant to better define the goals of this project
There was a lot of optimism expressed for this grant request, and it's our hope to see this come back to us for another vote.
We accept proposals throughout the year; our next round of review will begin early September. You can [submit proposals](https://www.perlfoundation.org/how-to-write-a-proposal.html) at any time.
