Dave Mitchell has requested an extension of $20,000 for his "Maintaining the Perl 5 Core grant":http://news.perlfoundation.org/2013/09/grant-application-maintaining-1.html. This will allow him to dedicate another 400 hours to this work. During this grant he sent weekly reports to the p5p mailing list as well as providing monthly summary reports that have been published on this blog, the most recent of which are linked below:

Before we make a decision on this extension we would like to have a period of community consultation that will last for one week. Please leave feedback in the comments or if you prefer send email with your comments to karen at perlfoundation.org.

+1, this is important work. And thanks Dave.
Please grant this. What Dave is doing for Perl 5 is invaluable.
Dave's work has been great and I think we should continue to fund it.
