I am pleased to report that Dave Mitchell's recent request to extend his "Maintaining the Perl 5 Core":http://news.perlfoundation.org/2013/09/grant-application-maintaining-1.html grant has been successful. The award of $20,000 will allow him to spend another 400 hours on this project.
