The Grants Committee recently brought on Jason Crome as our new Secretary, and he's already organizing and getting things done!
During the process to search for a new Secretary, we also found a motivated individual who wasn't already on the committee, and the team is interested in bringing them on as a new voting member. But, during our membership drive in the past year, we filled all the open slots on the committee, so there's no room to bring someone else on…
…so, to reduce our current size by one to make room for a new, very motivated individual, I am taking this opportunity to step down; assuming the new member is approved by the Committee, I'll immediately step down. I will of course remain available for a while to answer GC questions, as needed.
I want to thank the Committee and the Board for supporting the process (and me!) over the last 3 years. Thanks to the community for their proposals and work, and of course to the sponsors for making this process possible. Best of luck to Jason Crome in his new role.
