The Grants Committee is accepting grant proposals all the time. We evaluate them every two months and another round is starting.
If you have an idea for doing some work that will benefit the Perl or Raku communities, please consider submitting a grant application. The application deadline for this round is 23:59 Jan 31, 2022, UTC. We will publish the received applications, get community feedback through February 7th, and we will conclude the process shortly thereafter.
We now accept grant requests for core Perl and Raku development. There are some eligibility requirements that must be met for each language when submitting a grant. For Perl:
* The applicant must be a contributor to the Perl core.
* The application must be endorsed by one or more people with commit rights to the Perl core.
For Raku:
* The applicant must be a contributor to the Raku language specification or one of its implementations.
* The application must be endorsed by one or more people in Raku Steering Council.
For more information, see [this blog post](https://news.perlfoundation.org/post/grants_committee_expanded_role).
To apply, please read [How to Write a Proposal](https://www.perlfoundation.org/how-to-write-a-proposal.html), [GC Charter, Rules of Operation](https://www.perlfoundation.org/grants-committee.html) and [Running Grants List](https://www.perlfoundation.org/running-grants.html) will also help you understand how the grant process works. We also got some [grant ideas](https://grants.perlfoundation.org/) from the community. Grant applications may be submitted via [this Google Form](https://docs.google.com/forms/d/16seYhrMjz8rgsau9e1MtwYY0fHB81mVKm-0SD6Ynty0/viewform).
We will confirm the receipt of application by no later than February 1st.
