July 2018 Grant Votes

The Grants Committee has concluded the voting of the July 2018 round. My apologies for the delay.

There was one proposal this round, which was not approved.

Voting results: Not approved: 5 no votes, 4 abstentions

Concerns from the committee included a lack of clarity on whether this was a continuation of an existing project or new development, and issues with the proposed syntax, esp. in relation to prior art (e.g. LilyPond).

The benefit to the community was not clear.

Next Round

We accept proposals throughout the year; our next round of voting is starting very soon, look for another post on this site!

You can submit proposals now. If you want to help with funding and increase our budget, please visit our donations page. We sincerely appreciate all the donors which make the grant program possible. Also see the press releases for the recent major donations.
