The Grants Committee has concluded the voting of the March 2017 round.
There were two proposals in this round:
Improving the Robustness of Unicode Support…
==========
[Improving the Robustness of Unicode Support in Rakudo on MoarVM (7,500 USD)](http://news.perlfoundation.org/2017/04/grant-proposal.html)
Voting results: 6 Yes votes, and 2 abstentions with a score of 21 (5+5+5+4+1+1+0+0)
This grant is approved, and will be funded.
Sam's previous contributions in this area make her likely to succeed in making marked improvements to the
(already good!) Unicode support in Rakudo Perl 6 on MoarVM.
RPerl User Documentation, Part 3
=====
[RPerl User Documentation, Part 3 (2,400 USD)](http://news.perlfoundation.org/2017/04/grant-proposal-rperl-user-docu-2.html)
Voting results: 8 No votes.
This grant is not approved.
Concerns were raised about the efficacy of previous grants to increase RPerl's userbase and outreach,
as well as concerns about interactions with other members of the Perl community.
