CPAN Ticker

We've all seen various tickers like this deficit tracker which track negative things to raise awareness. How hard would it be to create a CPAN ticker? Something like ticker.cpan.org to show distributions, etc. as they increase. Then maybe specific ones like ticker.cpan.org/Moose to watch distributions?

I can probably do that on the CPAN Testers Reports site. I've recently added status bits to indicate how the page builder is coping. Adding a ticker for the number of distributions on CPAN shouldn't be too difficult.

In fact something like it is already planned for the CPAN Testers Statistics site on Monday morning to tie-in with my lightning talk at YAPC::Europe. I'll keep you posted :)
