Sorry this hasn't been updated lately. Our company is shutting down their offices and I have to move to London. Needless to say, my life has been in a bit of a turmoil as I try to get things sorted out (excuses, excuses).
Now, on with the grant update:
Christopher Laco's Mango grant is being postponed until January.
We're still waiting on an update regarding Ingy dot Net's grant to port PyYAML to Perl.
Adam Kennedy (extending PPI to a refactoring editor), in his own words:
Because of the troubles with the base editor I had originally planned on using, I'm considering abandoning this effort for the time being.
If I were to do so, I would accept the grant being considered a failure, although possibly the creation of Vanilla/Strawberry Perl along the way might be considered an "unexpected success".
But if I'm not going to be able to integrate with the PCE editor relatively painlessly, I simple cannot spend the enormous time it would take to create an entire editor from scratch, just for a proof of concept.
I've already created an entire Perl distribution, I think an editor may be beyond the call of duty...
